About the project:
KinoPlus is a streaming platform and online cinema for the Tajik market, providing users with access to world premieres, local films and Tajik TV series.
Task:
To design a video streaming platform capable of smoothly, without buffering, playing content in high quality on various devices (from smartphones to Smart TV), taking into account the characteristics of local Internet providers and peak evening loads.
Solution:
Developed a Full Stack application with a focus on media stream performance. The client part on Next.js provides smooth SPA navigation (Single Page Application) through the catalog without reloading pages. Adaptive streaming technologies have been introduced (the system adjusts video quality to the user’s Internet speed), smart search and content categorization.
Result:
The market received a modern, Netflix-like product (kinoplus.tj). Users note the high response speed of the interface and a stable video stream. The platform successfully monetizes content and withstands massive influxes of viewers on the days of high-profile premieres.
